BREAKING! Shekau appears In New Video Says Buhari Lyinng About Crushing Boko Haram

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has appeared
in a new video to debunk Nigeria’s government
claims that the group has been crushed and
flushed out of its Sambisa forest stronghold, AFP
“We are safe. We have not been flushed out of
anywhere. And tactics and strategies cannot reveal
our location except if Allah wills by his decree,”
Shekau said in the 25-minute video, flanked by
armed fighters.
“You should not be telling lies to the people,” he
said, referring to Nigerian President Muhammadu
Buhari who said on Christmas Eve that the
extremist group had been defeated and driven
away from the forest, its last known bastion.
“If you indeed crushed us, how can you see me
like this? How many times have you killed us in
your bogus death?” he asked.
It was not immediately clear where the new video
was shot, but Shekau who spoke in both Hausa
and Arabic said it was filmed on Christmas Day.
Shekau last appeared in a video in September
where he disputed a claim by the Nigerian military
that he had been wounded in battle.
He vowed to continue fighting on until an Islamic
state was imposed in northern Nigeria.
“Our aim is to establish an Islamic Caliphate and
we have our own Caliphate, we are not part of
Buhari had announced that a months-long military
campaign in the 1,300 square-kilometre (500
square-mile) forest in northeastern Borno state
had led to the “final crushing of Boko Haram
terrorists in their last enclave in Sambisa Forest”.
The government in Abuja and the military have
frequently claimed victories against the Islamic
State group affiliate but access to the epicentre of
the conflict is strictly controlled.
That has made independent verification of official
statements about victories virtually impossible.
Attacks have meanwhile continued, making claims
of defeating Boko Haram questionable despite
undoubted progress in pushing back the group.
The Boko Haram’s insurgency has killed at least
20,000 and forced some 2.6 million others to flee
their homes since 2009.
The violence has sparked a dire humanitarian
crisis in the region, with thousands of children
facing the risk of famine and starvation.

BIAFRA, Nnamdi Kanu: Masked Witness Is a Monumental Injustice -HURIWA

The Human Rights Writers Association Of Nigeria,
HURIWA, has described as a monumental injustice
the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari,
through his Justice minister Abubakar Malami, to
parade masked witnesses against Mr Nnamdi Kanu
the leader of the Europe registered Indigenous
People of Biafra (IPOB) and director of United
Kingdom based Radio Biafra.
The rights group has also criticised Justice Binta
Nyako for bragging that the federal high court
room is hers and therefore she can do whatever or
issue whatever order she deems appropriate just
as the group said the presiding judge can’t go
outside the provisions of the Constitution in
reaching a determination of any prayer at any
given stage of the subsisting matter because doing
otherwise would be illegal and absolutely non-
permissible by law.
HURIWA reminded the judge, Mrs Binta Murtallah-
Nyako, that the global community is watching her
proceedings even as generations yet unborn will
judge her conducts and decisions, which would
have far-reaching implications in whatever legacies
she intends to build.
Besides, HURIWA stressed that it is an unmitigated
crime against natural law for the federal high
court to have disregarded the constitutionally
guaranteed human rights of the defendants to fair
hearing and open trial just in a choreographed
attempt to railroad the accused into prison to
satisfy the wishes, whims and capricious intentions
of President Muhammadu Buhari who has on many
occasions in the media passed a verdict
against Mr Nnamdi Kanu and his organisation as
having committed ‘serious crime’ against his
The rights group further stated that the ruling by
the federal court to shield the identities of
witnesses who would testify against Mr Kanu is
reminiscent of kangaroo trial process used during
the brutal dictatorships that held Nigerians in
bondage for over four decades prior to 1999 when
overwhelming global pressures forced the coup
plotters to vacate political offices, restored political
and democratic order and proceeded to return to
their military barracks.
“We totally condemn Justice Binta Murtallah Nyako
for granting this awkward and unconstitutional
prayers of President Muhammadu Buhari which
will in the long run deny the defendants and the
rest of the citizenry the right to witness an open,
transparent, accountable and clean judicial process
since the matter involving the Indigenous People of
Biafra (IPOB) versus Muhammadu Buhari ruling
elite has since become a national phenomenon in
which every citizen of Nigeria is keen to know how
the entire scenarios are resolved,” the statement
“The plot to present masked witnesses is both
anachronistic and antithetical to moral, and ethical
justice. This can only happen in banana republics
or failed political entities whereby military might is
“We in the human rights community believe that
the claim by the leader of the Indigenous People of
Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, of a plot by the
federal government to invite foreign personnel to
testify against him in court is extensively
damaging and from the trajectories of events since
the legal ordeals of Mr Nnamdi Kanu started it is
not farfetched to notice that indeed the presidency
which has been on an overdrive to jail the IPOB
officials by hook or crook may have actually
perfected plans to import ghost witnesses to rope
the accused into a phantom crime of treasonable
felony. This illegality which has made the current
administration a laughing stock in the international
community of civilised people must be challenged
and overturned on appeal.”
HURIWA recalled that Mr Nnamdi Kanu, who is
currently facing trial alongside three other Biafra
agitators, Mr. Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin
Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi publicly made the
allegation on the very day Justice Binta Nyako of
the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court denied
him bail.
The trial Justice Binta refused to grant bail to any
of the defendants pending the determination of the
11-count criminal charge the federal government
preferred against them. Charges against Kanu and
other defendants border on treasonable felony and
their alleged involvement in acts of terrorism. She
equally granted the government the prayer to
present masked witnesses.
HURIWA has therefore urged the legal team
representing the IPOB hierarchy to file an appeal
without any delay just as the group has appealed
to all right thinking persons to call President
Buhari to order so as to terminate this kangaroo
persecution of Mr Nnamdi Kanu and his
HURIWA said the trial of Nnamdi Kanu must be
terminated because the agitation by IPOB for self-
determination for South East of Nigeria finds legal
basis in extant global humanitarian laws and for
the practical facts that the members of IPOB are
absolutely peaceful and not known to carry arms
or weapons unlike the several rampaging gangs of
armed Fulani herdsmen who have killed thousands
of Nigerians but are left by the Nigerian Military to
continue their dare-devil atrocities against
innocent citizens.

JUST IN! Angry Cameroonian woman posts husband's nude photo online after she caught him in a hotel with his girlfriend

Wife of CPDM mayor of the Douala city council
and a prominent member of the administration
posted his nude photo on social media after she
allegedly caught him in a hotel with one of his
many concubines.

The mayor refused to resign
since the nude photo went viral on social media.
According to Cameroon Intelligence Report, the
man had a long and successful session in a hotel
with one of his many concubines when his wife,
said to be a publisher stormed the room and took
photos of him.
"Internet users are wondering about the
publisher’s interest in releasing on the internet a
picture of a man she calls her husband. Many
have questioned if is a blackmail that went wrong
or an attempt to undermine the image of the
deputy mayor?
"This phenomenon is increasing in Cameroon
despite a new penal code voted into law that
prescribes severe punishment on attacks on
privacy using the social media"

JUST IN! Senate To Remove Immunity For President, Governors, Deputies

The Senate has commenced the process of
amending section 308 of the 1999 Constitution
which gives immunity to president, vice president,
governors and deputy governors in the country.

A bill sponsored by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege (LP,
Delta) on the immunity removal has been referred
to the Senate Committee on Constitution
amendment chaired by the Deputy Senate
President, Ike Ekweremadu, Daily Trust reports.
The bill proposed the substitution of subsection
308(2) which reads “the provisions of subsection
(1) of this section shall not apply to civil
proceedings against a person to whom this section
applies in his official capacity or to civil or criminal
proceedings in which such a person is only a
nominal party”, with a new section.
The proposed amendment reads, “the provisions of
subsection (1) of this section shall not apply to, (a)
‘civil proceedings against a person to whom this
section applies in his official capacity or to civil or
criminal proceedings in which such a person is
only a nominal party’.
It (b) part reads, “criminal proceedings connected
to, related to or arising from economic and
financial crimes”.
It’s sponsor, Omo-Agege said like in the US, the
president and the VP, governors and their deputies
should only be immune from civil actions arising
from their official actions while in office.
“They are not entitled to immunity from litigation
for actions not germane to their work. For example
a president or governor who buys a car for a child
and refuses to pay can be taken to court while in
office,” he said.
“Also like in the US, there should be no immunity
from criminal investigation or prosecution for
crimes committed either before or while in office.
“Recall that Mr. Spiro Agnew while a sitting VP
under President Nixon was tried and convicted for
tax evasion while in office. Bill Clinton as a sitting
president was hauled before a grand jury by
Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr for perjury
(lying under oath) while in office as president.
“Finally, Elliot Spitzer as a sitting governor of New
York was tried and convicted for illicit solicitation
for sex”, he added.
The sponsor believe that if the amendment is
passed, there will be sanity, transparency and
accountability in the Executive Arm of government,
especially “Treatment of our state resources which
most of them currently treat as slush funds”.
