WICKED!! Mother Of Two Hacked To Death In Ekiti

A 25-year-old mother of two, Miss Kehinde Olomola, has died from injuries she sustained during an attack in her home at Igede community in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti.
Her twin sister Taiwo, told newsmen, on Thursday, that the late Kehinde did not survive a stab she received in her neck, and that she died at the Federal Teaching Hostpital (FETHI), Ido-Ekiti, on Monday.
Taiwo claimed that when she called her twin sister on the telephone, at about 9pm on Sunday, “I heard a male voice in the background and I angrily ended the call after inquiring about the male voice.”
She said: “The male voice was strange to me, I got angry and I said ‘what is a man doing in your room at such late hour’. I didn’t wait for an answer as I ended the call. That was the last I heard from her until we learnt the following morning that she had been stabbed in the neck.”
Speaking on the death, their family friend, Daniel Oluwadare, said he received a phone call from the elder brother of the deceased, Tosin Olomola, that she had been injured and that he saw her in a pool of her blood.
Oluwadare said he saw the fatally stabbed Kehinde barely breathing and explained that neighbours helped in getting her to the General Hospital, Iyin-Ekiti where she received first aid, before she was moved to FETHI.
According to him, “the doctors at FETHI did very well to bring her to life, and although she could not be heard as she made efforts to respond when asked questions, she was able to say that she was attacked by one Odunayo, but we could not decipher the other name she was mentioning.”
Oluwadare said the doctors announced Kehinde’s death to them on Monday “after we though that she had made it through.”
On what they thought might have led to her being attacked and by whom, Taiwo stated that she was not aware of any one her sister had issues with, pointing out that she was “a lively person who plays with people and an easy-going person that wouldn’t be found in places of trouble.”
She said a suspect had been arrested by the police, and insisted that “the police must help us get to the root of this painful murder; they must take appropriate steps and ensure that whatever the laws prescribed for a murderer must be applied.”
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State police command, Mr. Caleb Ikechukwu, said the incident was reported shortly after the act was committed “and the police swung into action.”
Ikechukwu said “police officers were deployed to the scene, where they saw a pool of blood and blood on her phone and an axe that was used to commit the crime. The lady was rushed to the hospital where she later died.”
DSP Ikechukwu added that “before the lady died, she made a dying declaration of who attempted to stab her. She mentioned some name and the police took note of those names and effected an arrest.”
He said about three persons were arrested regarding the crime and added that the case was still under investigation and that as soon as investigation was concluded, whoever was found culpable will be charged to court and will face murder charge.”

‘Why I Stopped Being A Feminist’ – Billionaires Daughter, DJ Cuppy

Florence Otedola, a Nigerian Disc Jockey, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, has refused to pitch her tent with feminists, stating that “she does not really understand it”.
The daughter of the oil magnate, Femi Otedola, revealed this in a recent interview with City FM.
In the interview, she said: “I used to consider myself a feminist until I realized that I did not really understand it. I don’t like people who are hypocrites. People are out there speaking about women rights, but behind closed doors are doing crazy things.
“I will never come out as a feminist because I am in a male-dominated industry, so I have a certain scenario. I deal with men on a daily basis and I realise that they will always think that they are better than women. I don’t think it is going to solve it.
“But you must also limit the amount of attention you give them because let’s be honest, the more energy you put into one thing, the less time you can into another.
“If I literally sat down all day and spoke about how hard it is being a woman, I won’t have time to sit here talking with you, because I will be somewhere in Alade market talking about how women need better rights.”

Linda Ikeji Gives Hint On How Her Baby Daddy Looks Like

Popular blogger, Linda Ikeji whose excitement about her baby is contagious has revealed a hint about her ‘secret’ baby daddy.
In a lengthy message about her extreme love for children and how she intends to be the best mother in the world, Linda Ikeji let it slip that the baby’s father is tall, dark and handsome!
Sharing the above photo from a maternity shoot she had, the media entrepreneur wrote:
I love children so much. I’m particularly obsessed with babies. I grew up in a compound with a lot of neighbours and believe it or not, as a teenager/young woman, I was the unofficial resident babysitter.
I swear, ask my siblings. I literally carried all the newborn babies born in that compound at a period of time until they grew up to a certain age. Their mums used to come drop the babies at our house whenever they were tired or wanted to go out, this was, of course, to the annoyance of my family..lol.
The first baby I carried was a boy named Makoba (wonder where he is now, this was about 20yrs ago). From the first day I carried him, I didn’t want to let him go.
So every time I had free time, and his mum hadn’t brought him to me, I would walk two floors up, knock on his family’s door and ask them if they wanted me to take the child off them for a while. I was always happy when they said yes. After him other mums started dropping their kids with me.
Back then my sisters and I used to take turns to cook every day of the week. So whenever it was my turn to cook and I was babysitting and they insisted I go cook, I’d tell my sisters to either hold the baby for me so I could go cook or they go cook. They always chose the latter. Lol.
Then my siblings started having children & I started to feel more joy. These were no longer neighbours’ or friends’ children, these were my nephews and nieces.
My family! And carrying them brought me even more joy. If I was planning to go out and I heard my beautiful nephews and niece were coming over to the house, most times, I change plans and just stay home with them. There’s no greater joy for me than being around them.
So now imagine soon I will look down at a baby, and it won’t be a neighbor’s child, a friend’s child, a sister’s child, but my own child, my own flesh and blood, carried in my womb. My own son. It’s surreal. I can’t get over it.
Dear son, you are my greatest dream realized and I can’t wait to meet you! I plan to be one of the best mums the world has ever seen. Thanks for choosing me❤️
Sometimes I wonder what he will look like. His dad is tall, dark and handsome and I’m cute too so fingers crossed 😍😂
Taking to her Instagram story, she also shared photos of some of the designer clothes she’s already buying for her baby boy, to the surprise of her mum who can’t believe the extravagant cost of them.

Nigerian Military Hands Over 23 Rescued Children To UNICEF Through Borno State

The Nigerian military has handed over 23 children who were formerly associated with Boko Haram insurgents, to UNICEF through the Borno State government.
The children were picked up during various military operations around the north-east region. Aged between 17 and 10 years, the boys and girls confessed to the military that they have been assisting the Boko Haram insurgents either as fighters or domestic helps in the camps.
The Theatre Commander of a military counterinsurgency force, Abba Dikko, said the 23 children were released in line with Nigeria military’s commitment to the observance of human rights.
He observed that the children and other vulnerable persons were victims who faced with the highly unstable circumstances induced by the conflict would have had little option but to fall under the thrall of the insurgents.
“We were able to identify this category of people, especially the women, the aged and children to whom it behooves our sense of duty and responsibility to ensure that they are removed from harm’s way and reconditioned and then passed on to those institutions that are responsible for their reintegration to normal ways of life.”
Having established a component of the Operation Lafiya Dole which monitors and ensures adherence to rights protection, Mr Dikko, a Major General, said “the Nigeria military will continue to abide by the global best practices in its effort to remove all children associated with armed conflicts in northeast Nigeria.
On that note the 23 children among whom were teenage girls that are pregnant, were handed over to the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) through the Borno State government.
The Head of the UNICEF field office in Borno State, Geoffrey Ijumba, said “the release of the 23 children was a demonstration of the military’s commitment towards the protection of people’s rights in conflict situation.”
Ijumba commended the military for its commitment to protecting the wellbeing of conflict affected children and said that UNICEF will work with the Borno State ministry of women affairs to provide the children with medical and psychosocial support before reuniting them with their families and integrating them in the larger society.
The children will be camped at the state rehabilitation centre where they will stay for a minimum of 12-weeks during which they will receive medical attention and full spectrum support to prepare them for their eventual reintegration.
He said UNICEF has, since 2017, supported the social and economic reintegration of more than 8, 700 children previously associated with non-state actors in the northeast Nigeria by helping to trace their families, returning them to their communities and offering them psychosocial support and informal apprenticeship to help better their livelihoods.

After Planning Our Wedding For 3 Years, His Family Says I Am Not A Wife Material – Nigerian Lady

A Nigerian lady has narrated her dilemma after her fiancée’s family claimed she’s not a wife, just some few weeks to their wedding, which they have been planning for about 3 years.
According to the lady, the family claimed she is likely to be the dominant wife just because they had different interests on the choice of resources needed for the wedding.
Read her story below:-
I am very hurt. My wedding was supposed to take place last Saturday but it was called off without any explanation.
I met my man through my mother’s friend based aboard three years ago. We had our marriage introduction 2016 and we planned the wedding for April 2017 but sister was like we should postpone it reason is that for the brother to come down to Nigeria that the UK embassy don’t take absent of a spouse because they wanted to do it in his absent.
He begged me to wait that I should please bear with him it was not easy for me because already I have told people about my wedding and the date.
My ex has four sisters and they are kind of very close so involved them in everything he wants to do which I don’t have problem with that. His mum accepted me and me I love her took care of her like my mother even the sister who is out of marriage is staying with her mum with four children I love her too.
Fast forward to when the date was pick which is 25 of August that we started having issues.
It was his sisters that shopped for my wedding things which I complain that I don’t like the color ,they said the list I gave them was too expensive which is the hall and food ,I got a hall of #160 they got a hall of #300k near their house not even the bride side I never complain ,they said after the wedding I will stay with mother in law and sister which I said no due to distance and the nature of my work.
The worst of all that happened is that my ex was telling his sisters every thing we discussed both the argument and my chat he was forwarding it to them. His sister in Nigeria was telling them all manners of lies against me and they believed her.
They put pressure and fear on him not to marry me he has to call off the wedding after buying things for the wedding. He is around in Nigeria now and I try to see him but his family are refusing me seeing him because I don’t have his Nigeria ‘s no.
I was told that he said he love me but he scared based on what they told him. That I am not a wife material. That I will control him and drive him out because he stays in US.
My mother has been begging them but they refuse to listen. He even blocked me since then. His cousin told me they already found another girl for him.
What do I do,I dated this guy for three years. I love him. I already have done introduction. Everybody knows I am supposed to be getting married. The scandal is killing my parents. If this guy still loves me,how do I win him back? He never gave a chance to explain myself. What did I do wrong?
Or should I really move on? After three years? Where do I start from?

EMBARRASSING!! Ex FIFA Vice President Jailed 9 Years For Corruption (Photo)

Juan Angel Napout, the former president of South America’s football governing body Conmebol, has been jailed for nine years for his part in the Fifa bribery scandal.
He was found guilty in December last year at a trial in Brooklyn, New York.
The Paraguayan was convicted of racketeering conspiracy and two wire fraud charges.
The former Fifa vice-president will also have to forfeit $3.37m (£2.6m) and pay a fine of $1m (£767,000).
The 60-year-old was found guilty along with the former head of the Brazil Football Confederation Jose Maria Marin.
Marin, 86, was jailed earlier this month for four years and fined $1.2m (£920,000) and ordered to forfeit $3.34m (£2.59m).
Napout was arrested at the Baur Au Lac hotel in Zurich in December 2015, seven months after an initial dawn raid at the same hotel in which seven Fifa officials were detained.
The crimes related to Napout’s participation in schemes to accept millions of dollars in bribes in exchange for the media and marketing rights to various football tournaments.

WAR LOOMS!! Facebook Rolls Out Video-Streaming Service To Fight Other Rivals

Last year Facebook launched a video streaming service called Watch to compete with YouTube but it was for the United States alone, now (over a year later) Facebook has rolled out the feature globally for everyone.
Watch is very similar to YouTube as it will allow users watch video contents from other creators and also original contents from Facebook itself.
The video platform will also show episodes with a storyline. Not only that, users will be able to subscribe to channels just like YouTube and choose from a range of shows – from both established brands and new players – and have the ability to view clips saved from their News Feeds.
The social media giant Facebook will allow all content makers to feature adverts on their channels depending on their level of traffic and the revenue will be split between the creators and Facebook — 55% to the creators and 45% to Facebook.
Watch is coming to compete with established video streaming services like YouTube, cable TV channels and even online video streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Video BBC iPlayer, and Facebook’s own Instagram TV. Most people in America has never even heard about this new service since it was launched in the USA last year.
Facebook claims that its advantage against other platforms is the ways Watch helps viewers interact with others.
According to Fidji Simo, Facebook’s vice-president of video, “It is built on the notion that watching video doesn’t have to be a passive experience,” .
“You can have a two-way conversation about the content with friends, other fans or even the creators themselves.”
She added that a Watch Party feature lets users co-ordinate themselves to watch a show together, while an Interactivity Platform allows creators to run polls, challenges and quizzes to boost engagement.

Sanusi Speaks On The Important Thing He Did As CBN Governor

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Emir of Kano, says no president influenced his decisions unduly while he was governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
He disclosed this in an interview with CNBC Africa at the annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
Speaking on the need for collaboration in building sustainable institutions, Sanusi said the country had institutions that work but that the right people should be appointed to do the work.
He said: “Institutions are those things that lay the foundation for longterm growth and development. And when we speak of institutions, we are talking about the legal arrangements that define their roles; that also give transparency and consistency to their actions.
“Whether we are talking about independent electoral bodies, independent central banks, independent regulators or the police force, how do we get them to understand that they have a role that is in the service of the entire nation and not at the short term discretion of whoever happens to hold political power? This requires the legal framework that can assess them of their roles.
“I keep saying that the CBN act is one of the best central bank acts in the world. So, in terms of decision arrangement, we have it. But we also need the executive to respect that independence. We need the central bank itself to protect that independence. We need the legislature to ensure that is being done.
“Look, I was governor of central bank. In my five years as governor, I never had a situation in which politicians influenced my decisions unduly. Sometimes, they will like to have lower interest rates; sometimes, they will like you to be a bit softer, but none of the presidents I served ever said you must do this.
“They didn’t express the view. If the central bank wanted to do it and it was within our purview, they allow us do it. Because of that, we were able to control the inflation, fix the banks. We were able to transform the payment system, do the BVN.”
On the issue of migration, the Emir said: “You cannot discuss migration exclusively when you don’t discuss development. What is it that makes people want to leave?
“You cannot impoverish a part of the world and create a ghetto and expect people not to run out to prosperity. You need to create some pockets of prosperity where they live. And that is all I want African leaders to do.”

Proprietress of God’s Own Orphanage located along Siluko Road in Bénin City, Mrs. Kehinde Blessing Imariagbe, has been arrested by men of the Edo State Police Command over the discovery of a missing child in her orphanage.
The child identified as Elo Ogidi was reportedly stolen from the Christ Embassy church in Oregun, Lagos State on Sunday, July 8, 2018.
It was gathered that she was discovered at the orphanage in Edo through the help of a prophetess.
Speaking to newsmen when she was paraded, Mrs. Imarhiagbe rained curses on the man that brought Elo to her.
Imarhiagbe stated that the man claimed to be father to Elo which was why she did not report the matter to relevant authorities.
She gave the name of the man that brought Elo as Patrick Chukwuma.
According to her, “I have been calling Chukwuma since last week but his numbers could not be reached.
“It was my mistake not to report to the matter because I felt since it was her father that brought her. We only report cases if the child could not be traced to anybody.
“If it as an abandon child, we go to the police. The girl looked like the man that brought her which was why I believed.”
Edo Police Commissioner, Babtunde Kokumo, said the stolen child was brought to the orphanage under questionable circumstances.
He said the matter would soon be charged to court after investigation has been concluded.
