NFF appoints Yobo as Super Eagles’ assistant coach

Former Super Eagles defender and captain, JosephYobo, has been named as an assistant coach for the team by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).  Yobo will come in as a substitute for Imama Amapakabo as an assistant coach of the three African champions.

Yobo earned his first cap for Senior Team in the qualifying Africa Cup of the Nations game Zambia in Chingola in April 2001, and played in three FIFA World Cup finals in 2000, 2010 and 2014, during the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championships he played for the Flying Eagles.

The powerful defender played in six finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2013, bringing the Super Eagles into their 3rd African glory in 2013.
