A report by the spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, says the police got a distress signal that some outlaws assumed to be Okada riders and thugs armed with cutlasses, barricaded some important roads around Ijora Oloye, Ijora 7up, Sifa junction, Amusu,  Ijora under bridge, and Gaskiya gangare area all inside Ijora Badia Division.

Bala said the criminals created major roadblocks on the roads, setting tyres ablaze, plundering and stealing from innocent road users. According to the report, police officers from Ijora Badia, Area B Command and Special Strike Force on Social Miscreants were immediately stationed to the areas. The crisis was brought under control and the roadblocks were removed for the easy movement of traffic.

Bala said no casualty was recorded during the crisis.

He added that twenty prisoners were captured and will be arraigned before a court soon.
