The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is an umbrella body for Polytechnics, Monotechnics and allied institutions awarding ND/HND cut across the six geopolitical zones of the federation .

The leadership of NAPS Condemn in totality the idea of feeding pupils at home during this lock down.
It is obvious that the idea is targeted at milking the country's treasury dry, it is quite unreasonable and unrealistic at this time when schools have been shut down for months.

The feeding scheme which primary aim was to assist parents in feeding their wards and as well motivate pupils to go to school, one would reasonably question the essence of continuing the program now that the pupils are at home.
If pupils can be fed at home during lock down then students in secondary schools and tertiary institutions deserve same treatment!

If FG must feed pupils from home then the scheme should be widened to capture students at all level.
As much as we are in support of the feeding scheme, we shall never support the idea of continuing it while schools are on lock down.

These funds can be properly utilised, we are talking about e-learning without modern age facilities for students, why not channel these funds to e-learning facilities for students in order to aide our resumption, other developed countries are back on campus but here we are lagging.

The leadership of NAPS hereby urge FGN to halt the process and channel the fund into the realisation of e-learning education in Nigeria.

Our students needs laptops or iPad, if FG  can make it work for N-power scheme then FG  should make it work for students in Secondary schools and tertiary institutions.
Spending #679m daily on feeding pupils during lock down  is a total waste of resources.

Enough of squandering funds uneccessarily, Stop Eating Our Future!

Amandla Ngawetu!
Nothing shall discourage us!
