Nigerian Sprinter Blessing Okagbare has been suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after she test positive of a banned substance.
Okagbare won her 100m heat on Friday and was due to race in the semi-finals on Saturday (today).
However She will now miss this morning’s 100m semis after her suspension.
The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) said the 32-year-old had tested positive for a human growth hormone following an out-of-competition test on 19 July.
The AIU said Okagbare was notified of her provisional suspension on Saturday.
Her ban piles up more hard luck for Nigerian Athletes in the Tokyo Olympics after 10 of them were initially banned from competing.
