Special Assistant to former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has asked Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to pay Nigerians international market salaries, if he wishes to sell fuel to them on International market price.
Reno stated this on his twitter handle where he wrote,
“If Buhari wishes to sell fuel to Nigerians at international market rates, it logically follows that he must also pay Nigerians international market salaries. @MBuhari shouldn’t budget ₦3.4 billion for his food and travel then increases fuel for Nigerians travels”
This is as a result of the announcement of the current administration to increase the price of Fuel from ₦167 to ₦217. This resulted to a lot backlash from Nigerians across the country to the Buhari lead administration.
However the Presidency has come out to deny the hike in Fuel price across the country stating that he presidency is not aware of the development.
