Nigerian Vice president Professor Yemi Osibanjo has welcomed the new World Trade Organisation Director General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as she visits the State House.
In a statement released by the Nigerian Vice president he stated that it was a pleasure sitting with the New Director General of World Trade Organisation Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. In his words the VP has this to say,
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of sitting down with the new Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and told her: we are her cheerleaders. I offer my heartiest congratulations to her on this glass shattering appointment. She is a beacon to women in Nigeria and across the world. I wish her all the very best in all her endeavors and pray that the Almighty God will help her every step of the way.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the first African and also the first woman to become the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation.
