Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has announced his plans to upgrade to the Ibadan Airport including reconstructing the access to the airport.
The Governor made this known yesterday when he received Senate Committee on Aviation at Ibadan Oyo State capital. He said,
“This afternoon, we received the Senate Committee on Aviation led by Chairman, Senator Smart Adeyemi. I outlined the actions our administration has taken to upgrade the Ibadan Airport including reconstructing the access roads to the airport.’
“Our plan is to reap the economic benefits of making Ibadan Airport a regional hub for air travel and the alternative airport to our neighbour. Like Schiphol Airport, we want to be the place where people will spend a few days to “see” Oyo State, “buy and fly.”
The Governor concluded.
