Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday 15th July 2021 inaugurated the Kaduna-Kano railway as its set for operation.

According to a statement released by the President’s Special adviser on media and publicity Femi Adesina its reads,

“President Buhari performs Ground Breaking Ceremony of Kaduna-Kano Standard Gauge Rail Line in Kano State on 15th July 2021
Kano Rail 5: President Buhari with L-R: Board Chairman Nigeria Railway Corporation Engr. Alhassan Musa Ibrahim, Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, Minister of Communications Isa Pantami, Kano State Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu and Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi as he performs Ground Breaking Ceremony of Kaduna-Kano Standard Gauge Rail Line in Kano State on 15th July 2021″

There is also an uncomfirmed reports that the Federal Government has plan to join the railway to the Lagos State Apapa Sea port in other to provide more flow of transportation in the country.
