Rossiyana Markovskaya was born on January 6, 1991, in Vladivostok Russia. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism of the Far Eastern Federal University in 2013.
Her record includes the work of a TV presenter and a correspondent. Prior to her appointment to the Ministry of Defense, she worked as a correspondent for the Zvezda channel in 2015.
In 2015, Rossiyana Markovskaya was seen flirting in English with six-time former world champion boxer Roy Jones Jr. The boxer was receiving his passport to become a Russian citizen and giggly Rossiyana offered to teach him her native tongue.
In 2011 – 2015 Rossiyana Markovskaya was the correspondent, the leader, the author of programs of State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company Vladivostok.
Markovskaya can also play musical instruments and sing as she has demonstrated in a few videos she shared on her social media pages.
In November 2017 it is appointed the press secretary of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation
She has already earned herself the nickname “Defense cutie” (“Oboronyasha” in Russian).
According to local media, Rossiyana is not a traditional Russian name and it’s thought her parents gave her it in support of Russian independence following the collapse of the old Communist Soviet Union.
